U-Sense.IT will be a keynote speaker at the 30th IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation (ETFA 2025) to be held in Porto (Portugal) from 9 to 12 September 2025.

This is one of the most renowned worldwide events dedicated to industrial innovation, automation, and Industry 4.0 with a plethora of experts, companies, and research centres from around the world.

On 10 September, U-Sense.IT will be involved in two key events, contributing to innovative topics in the smart sensing industry, applied artificial intelligence and zero-defect manufacturing.

Cristina Cristalli’s speech at the Industry Forum

As part of the Industry Forum, Cristina Cristalli will give a speech during the “Emerging Technologies and Frontier Applications” plenary session dedicated to the emerging technologies that are reshaping modern industry.

This will be an opportunity to share our vision on the role of artificial intelligence and optical sensors in the evolution of digital production systems.

Presentation of the openZDM project results

On 10 September, in the afternoon, U-Sense.IT will also show the results of the EU-funded openZDM project during the SS10 special session called

“Zero Defects Manufacturing in the Industry 4.0 Era – AI-Driven Quality, Automation, and Cyber-Physical Systems”.

The openZDM project aims at creating an open platform for zero-defect manufacturing by integrating advanced QA technologies, non-destructive inspection and connected cyber-physical systems.

The General Assembly of the European openZDM project was held on 28-29 June at the Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems & Automation (LMS) of the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Patras.

The meeting was a key opportunity to share progress and discuss the work done to date.

Core Stage of the Project — Technology Integration

The event was dedicated to presenting and discussing the results achieved at month 36 of the project – being currently in its core stage focused on integrating the various technologies developed by the partners.

From 24 to 27 June 2025, U-Sense.IT will attend AUTOMATICA – the world’s leading trade fair for automation and robotics in Munich.

On display — G3F, our portable laser profilometer

We invite you to the openZDM space to take a closer look at the G3F, our portable laser triangulation profilometer for gap and flush measurement that has been developed as part of the European project.

U-Sense.IT was selected for funding among Le Marche’s innovative start-ups under the Call for Proposals “PR MARCHE FESR 2021/2027 – SCOPE 1 – SO 1.1 – ACTION 1.1.6 – Intervention 1.1.6.1” dedicated to supporting the launch and consolidation of innovative start-ups.

The project submitted by U-Sense.IT and named “G3F — Smart IIoT portable laser tools for digital factories“, has received a strong regional recognition.

This achievement represents a key moment in completing the development stage of G3F and accelerating its market entry, to deliver U-Sense.it technology to the digital factories of the future.

From 6 to 9 May 2025, U-Sense.IT will attend the Control Messe 2025 in Stuttgart – one of the main international events dedicated to industrial quality control.

The trade fair represents a terrific opportunity to meet partners and customers, and we look forward to seeing you in Hall 3 – Stand 3309-6 to present all the latest developments in our G3F.

G3F is even faster, compact and more precise

During the event you’ll be able to try out the G3F – our portable laser triangulation optical sensor.

At the trade fair we’ll be introducing a new, enhanced version that is even faster, more compact, repeatable, and more precise, totally designed to meet the increasingly advanced needs of Industry 4.0.

On 6 February 2025, the Month 30 Review Meeting of the European Horizon Europe openZDM project was held at the APTIV headquarters in Turin.

The meeting was a key opportunity to present the results achieved in the development of our G3F, deployed in the Volkswagen Autoeuropa use case.

During the meeting, U-Sense.IT shared the progress made in implementing the G3F profilometer in Volkswagen’s production environment.
